Last Week’s Best – 3 – MARK.SPACE

For this week’s feature, we will be looking at MARK.SPACE, an international product developer focused on 3D, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality who aims for seamless and widespread implementation of these technologies in a variety of devices and browsers, while offering valuable solutions for shops, offices, banks, cinemas and many other industries.

Who are they?

MARK.SPACE consists of an international team of engineers based on Singapore, led by Yana Kontorovich, PhD in Economic Sciences with 11 years of experience in e-commerce, and comprising over 10 years of experience in IT-development, graphic design, 3D design, analytics, Big Data management and sociology.

A modern approach

Their goal is to create a friendly platform where each user can develop their own 3D-, VR- and AR-compatible sites and become the owners of what MARK.SPACE calls their own “Virtual Real Estate”, making it necessary to implement blockchain technology to keep an open-source registry of ownership and property rights.

Through the development of their own programming language, the MARK.SPACE Object Scripting Language, which is similar to JavaScript but offers easy-to-use tools for the implementation of 3D objects, along with defining the parameters of their visualization, movement, visual effects, custom functionalities and content control when the client interacts with the object.

Their vision is to create virtual cities that are divided into districts, units and boxes, with the latter being the smaller amount acquirable by the user. Within this box of 64 m2, the user has total liberty in the kind of space they want to create, from offices to lounge rooms, by using an extensive library of design packages with textures and premade assets.

Their Goal

MARK.SPACE not only wants to pioneer the movement favoring digital spaces over physical ones, but also give their users a certain degree of freedom they would not be able to achieve in real spaces. From flexibility in the minimum space that a user can buy, to the extensive modifications the user can achieve via their programming language, MARK.SPACE aims to built entire cities of businesses that interact with themselves, offering the userbase a new, fully digital experience of their day to day life.
